I Don’t Know If We Told You

The Found Generation is in for a massive overhaul. We’ve been slaving away the past month, neck deep in HTML hullaballoo, gearing up to introduce our new website and master plan.

We’re changing things up and we’re getting excited. It’s taken a lot out of us, as I’m sure you’ve been able to tell by the declining frequency of our postings. Between finishing up our books, starting the new site and planning our return to the States–things have been rather busy. Top all that off with a week of no internet at home, ah, good times.

Even though progress has been slow and rather tedious, we’re actually surprising ourselves with how much we’re learning in regards to building a website. Don’t get me wrong, I still have no idea what Linwood did to get the site up onto the domain with the hosting and the FTP and what-have-you. But, I’ve figured out how to read HTML, change it and write things that I would want instead. Not too shabby for a girl whose computer skills were previously limited to Word and Google.

We’ll keep you posted as to when the official changeover is going to happen. Not yet, but we’re getting close.

We also are moving forward with our serialized novel. Have you read the first two chapters? Chapter three will be coming up in the next few days. Keep your eyes peeled and be sure to check in at our Facebook page to vote on what you think should happen next.

Alright, now go forth–enjoy Memorial Day weekend if you’re in the states (or your regularly scheduled weekend otherwise).

About The Found Generation

We'd been friends since the first day we met in college. Eight years later one thing led to another and, well, now we're living in Buenos Aires and each working on our first novels. If you would like to find out more, contact us at info@thefoundgen.com.

  1. Warren Peace says:

James, have you learned tables in HTML? That’s about the point where I stopped trying to learn more.

  2. We’re not using any tables so no. The new site is wordpress.org-based, so it’s been a lot more CSS in reality. From what I gather CSS is derived from HTML. We’ve been fiddling with widgets with HTML, but that’s been the only direct contact.
